About Me
Biography
Amy Yim is a sophomore from Ellicott City, Maryland, studying Mathematics at the University of Maryland.
Her artistic interest includes the visual arts, concentrating on charcoal still lifes and portraits. Her visual arts concentration stems from exploring the ordinary through an extraordinary lens, making household objects or everyday faces eye-catching.

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, she intends to work in the actuarial field, aiming to have completed the preliminary requirements in starting a career as an actuary.

As a College Park Arts Scholar, Amy intends to further explore her artistic inquiry towards the everyday object through her sophomore Capstone project, expanding her drawing ability and use of mediums. She looks forward to drawing inspiration from visiting artists' and field trips exploring the arts within her community at College Park.
